The Inter-Greek Council is the legislative, standard-setting, and coordinating body for all 31 fraternities and sororities in the four subcouncils: Panhellenic Association, Multicultural Greek Council, Pan-Hellenic Council, and Interfraternity Council. The purpose of IGC is to maintain a high plane of fraternal life and interfraternal relations, to further intellectual and social accomplishments, to cooperate with the university, community, and administration in the maintenance of high social standards, to improve and maintain relations between the fraternal organizations and the surrounding community.
