The first National fraternity founded in 1865, Alpha Tau Omega led by an ambitious teenager with a dream set out to unite the men of the North and South after the Civil War. Besides being the first fraternity founded on Christian Principals, today Alpha Tau Omega is the premiere leadership fraternity, engraving hard work and determination into the minds of tomorrow’s leaders. Annually ATΩ ranks among the top ten national fraternities for number of chapters and total number of members. The SIU chapter, Theta Zeta, received the 2007 award for the most outstanding student organization on campus among nearly 450 other registered student organizations. We pride ourselves in our efforts to be the best at everything we do, and we are always looking for hard-working individuals interested in contributing to the campus and community.
