The world’s largest fraternity and was established at Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois on January 10, 1899. This Southern Illinois University chapter of TKE was established February 12, 1949 and is the oldest fraternity at SIU. The refounding of this chapter occurred in the Spring semester of 2005. Tau Kappa Epsilon promotes the ideals of love, charity, and esteem; the basics elements of every frater in the Bond.
