“Rush/Recruitment” may be defined as the mutual selection process that prospective members and chapter members go through during the recruitment period. Panhellenic and IFC sponsor a formal recruitment each fall semester, and IFC also coordinates a formal recruitment in the spring semester. Formal recruitment offers prospective members the opportunity to explore options with each chapter.

“Rush” for NPHC chapters is called “Intake.” Membership Intake is coordinated by chapters on an individual basis. Times and requirements vary from chapter to chapter. For more information on NPHC chapter intake contact the NPHC chapters.
